City to Pilot New Trash Collection Downtown

If you have walked past Upper Bridge and Margaret Streets recently, you may have noticed a new type of garbage can in town, one that promises to have a higher capacity is powered through solar energy and will prevent garbage from blowing through the streets.

Public Meeting scheduled for August 1 to Discuss City’s Comprehensive Master Plan

The City of Plattsburgh, along with consultants Saratoga Associates and Behan Planning and Design, will be holding a public meeting to discuss the City’s Draft Comprehensive Master Plan on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall in the Common Council Chambers.

City of Plattsburgh issues a friendly reminder about the use of fireworks

Summer is synonymous with barbecues, parades and of course, fireworks. Some smaller types of fireworks may be legal but they are not necessarily safe. The City of Plattsburgh would like to remind residents of the laws regarding setting off legal fireworks in the City and how to stay safe while doing so.
