(PLATTSBURGH- Monday May 15th, 2023) - The Parks Come Alive! Event series is set to kick off for the summer season on Thursday June 8th from 4:30-7:30PM at Peter Blumette Park. The event will feature local food, drinks, music and activities for kids- all set in Plattsburgh’s city parks.
Last summer, The City of Plattsburgh introduced Parks Come Alive!, a series of events that featured Plattsburgh’s local city parks and highlighted local food, drink, music and community organizations. The event saw over 1,000 people attend over three events and the City is excited to announce the return of the event in 2023.
On Thursday June 8th from 4:30-7:30PM, head to Peter Blumette Park to listen to local pop/R&B band, Periscope Dream. Valcour Brewing Company will be hosting the event’s beer garden (21+). Tammy’s Food Truck, The Dogfather and Mr. Ding a Ling will be serving food and there will be a limited number of $5 food vouchers available. Over 20 local organizations, such as The Strand Center for the Arts, Point au Roche State Park Nature Center and Autism Alliance will be at the event providing fun games and activities for kids.
July’s event will be held on Thursday July 13th in Melissa Penfield Park and August’s event will be held on Thursday August 10th. All events will run from 4:30PM to 7:30PM.
