2026 LAW DAY ART CONTEST
On May 1st, the United States observes Law Day in celebration of our legal system and the freedoms we enjoy. This year, the Office for Justice Initiatives and the Historical Society of the New York Courts invite high school students in New York State to participate in an art contest celebrating the American Bar Association’s 2026 Law Day theme:
“THE RULE OF LAW AND THE AMERICAN DREAM”
The rule of law—the unwavering belief that no one stands above justice—lights the path to freedom, empowering every person to live boldly and chase their dreams without fear.

1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: $200
