(PLATTSBURGH- Tuesday June 18th, 2024) - The Parks Come Alive! Event series is set to kick off for the summer season on Thursday July 11th from 4:30-7:30PM at Melissa Penfield Park. Parks Come Alive! Is an event series that pops up in Plattsburgh’s local parks and features local food, drinks, music and activities for kids!
The City of Plattsburgh introduced Parks Come Alive! in 2022, a series of events that feature Plattsburgh’s local city parks and highlight local food, drink, music and community organizations. Since its inaugural year, the event has brought together thousands of City neighbors into our local parks.
This year’s event schedule will be held on the second Thursday of July, August and September from 4:30-7:30PM. The event will pop up in a new location each month as follows: July: Melissa Penfield Park, August: South Acres Park, September: Fox Hill (South Platt Street) Park. Each event will feature a beer garden hosted by Old Soul Design Studio and feature local musicians and food trucks. Thanks to a generous donation from Fidelis Care, there will be a limited number of $5 food vouchers available at each event to be redeemed at the food trucks.
