City of Plattsburgh Announces Successful Bond Sale and Credit Rating Upgrade

The City of Plattsburgh announces the completion of a $17,441,890 serial bond issue, coinciding with a significant upgrade in its credit rating by Moody’s Investors Service. Moody’s has elevated the City’s issuer and General Obligation Limited Tax (GOLT) bond ratings from A3 to A2 and improved the City’s Bond Anticipation Note (BAN) rating from MIG 2 to MIG 1. This new rating applies not only to the 2024 bond issue but extends to all outstanding City debt, underscoring enhanced financial health and sound fiscal practices.

A Miracle on Margaret Street returns to Plattsburgh to celebrate the holidays

Something magical is coming back to Margaret Street on Saturday December 7th! City seeking Letters of Interest for next round of RestoreNY Program

The City of Plattsburgh is seeking Letters of Interest (LOIs) from local property and land owners for Round 9 of Empire State Development’s RestoreNY program. Through the RestoreNY program, which was announced in September 2024, $50 million dollars are available to support local efforts, and help to reduce insurmountable costs for  transforming blighted, underutilized structures into vibrant residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

This award will provide crucial financial support for the purchase of National Institute of Justice (NIJ) compliant bulletproof vests for the city’s law enforcement officers.
