NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Plattsburgh will submit a funding application to the Office of Community Renewal on or about April 23, 2010 in an amount not to exceed $600,000 under the Community Development Block Grant Program.

Types of eligible activities include, but are not limited to, home purchase assistance, home rehabilitation, infrastructure and public facilities.

A public hearing will be held at 4:30 pm on March 11, 2010 in the Common Council Chambers.  The City will describe the Community Development Block Grant Program and will seek public input on the proposed 2010 CDBG application.

A second public hearing will be held at 4:30 pm on April 15, 2010 in the Common Council Chambers.  The City will describe the proposed community development activities to be included in the 2010 CDBG application.

The City welcomes the views of citizens regarding the program.  Individuals with special needs who wish to attend should contact the City Clerk at 563-7702 so that necessary arrangements can be made.

A draft application will be available from April 5-15, 2010 for review in the Office of Community Development.  Comments concerning the proposed application may be submitted to the City of Plattsburgh addressed to the Office of Community Development, 41 City Hall Place.
