RECREATION CENTER SEEKING APPLICANTS FOR
TENTH BIGGEST LOSER PROGRAM
PLATTSBURGH- The City of Plattsburgh RecreationCenter is seeking candidates for the tenth season of the North Country’s
Biggest Loser adult fitness program, set to start on Saturday, October 20th,2018.
The program is looking for 20 adult participants to make lifestyle changes and to work with personal trainers and other healthcare professionals in an effort to lead active, healthy lifestyles.
The North Country’s Biggest Loser Program
(NCBL) will consist of weight training, circuittraining and cardio workouts with certified trainers and volunteer coaches
combined with the nutrition education from certified nutritionists, registereddietitians, and physician assistants for a period of six months. Theodore
Santaniello will be leading the North Country’s Biggest Loser training teamwith several other trainers and coaches along his side. Theodore is a Certified
Strength and Conditioning Specialist who has over 10 years of personal trainingexperience.
Training sessions will be held on Tuesday’s
and Thursday’s from 5-7pm. Attendance is required as well as a commitment toworkout independently. Candidates will be chosen through an application process
and will require a physician’s release. Memberships for all participants arefree; however there is a $125 fee to cover the expense of professional staffing. All activities will take place at the City
Recreation Center, located at 52 US Oval.
The third annual kickoff event “Race the Base”will continue in this year’s season and is open to anyone who wants to
participate in the race and help support the new group. This timed 1-mile race located at the CityRecreation Center at 52 US Oval will be the NCBL’s “first challenge” held on Saturday,
October 20th at 9am. Registration for the event can be done online at www.plattsburghrecreation.com/biggestloser or at 8:30am the day of the race.
