“Two men arrested for residential Robbery”

Wednesday, June 21st at 12:05am, Plattsburgh Police responded to a report of a robbery at 59 Broad Street in the City of Plattsburgh. The resident of the apartment reported that prior to his call, a male entered his residence, displayed a handgun and demanded drugs and money. The male ultimately left with several items of personal property, including an iPod, e-cigarette and a glass pipe. Through their investigation, Police were able to identify Jacob Estes and Justin Steady as suspects in the robbery. A search warrant was later executed by Police at Estes’ North Catherine Street residence where the stolen property and weapon were recovered.
Estes was arrested and charged with one count of Robbery in the Second Degree (Class C Felony), one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree (Class A Misdemeanor) and one count of Petit Larceny. He was arraigned in Plattsburgh Court on 06/21/2017 and committed to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5000 cash bail or $25,000 bond.
Justin Steady was arrested and charged with one count of Conspiracy in the Fourth Degree (Class A Misdemeanor) He was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court on 06/21/2007 and released on his own recognizance.
