“City Police arrest Queens man in heroin/cocaine bust”

On June 20, 2017, the Plattsburgh City Police arrested Malik Hogan, 32 of Queens, New York and Corey Miller, 30 of Plattsburgh, New York.
On 06/20/17 as part of the investigation a vehicle stop was conducted on Peru Street in the City of Plattsburgh. During the stop Hogan attempted to flee from the scene on foot. After a brief foot pursuit Hogan was taken into custody and found to be in possession of 34 individual packets of crack cocaine and 67 envelopes of heroin. Police estimate the street value of the narcotics to be approximately $8,000.
Hogan was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a Class “B” Felony, and resisting arrest, a Class “A” misdemeanor. A records check by police also found an active parole warrant, issued by the New York State Department of Corrections out of Queens, New York, dated April 27, 2017. Miller was charged with Conspiracy 4th Degree a Class “E” Felony after the investigation revealed Miller conspired to distribute the aforementioned drugs with Hogan in the Plattsburgh vicinity.
Hogan was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and committed to the Clinton County Jail without bail. Miller was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and committed to the Clinton County Jail on $10,000 cash / $50,000 bond.
The arrests were a result of an investigation conducted by the Plattsburgh City Police Narcotics Unit, the New York State Police and the Adirondack Drug Task Force which is comprised of members of the Plattsburgh City Police Department, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, New York State Police, Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Border Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations, Clinton County District Attorney’s Office and the Essex County Sheriff’s Department.
